ROTARY YOUNG WRITERS COMPETITION
Renée Dumenil, one of the local area winners from the Speyside High School entrants, has won the overall Senior competition for the entire North of Scotland. Renée’s piece will now go forward to the National competition. An excellent result! On Friday 6 May there will be a presentation for all participants and winners from Speyside High School by the Aberlour and Speyside Rotary President.
ANOTHER BUSY WEEK AT SPEYSIDE HIGH SCHOOL

Last week saw lots of successful outdoor activities. The first meeting of the POLLI:NATION group took place – the enthusiastic group had a very productive meeting with Tom.
On the afternoon of Friday 29 April we were delighted to welcome parents into school. They celebrated the successful completion of the John Muir Award for some of our pupils.
Following a meeting with a representative of the Parent Council we are putting in a bid for a visit from an author. We are hoping that all S3 pupils will be involved in this which offers a great opportunity to develop further their literary skills. It is also hoped that Speyside High School can develop this into an Interdisciplinary Project.
