Positive Pathways Scotland offers an opportunity for family carers to receive innovative practical training to help and support their family member who is age between 5 and 18.
The free training programme focuses on understanding emotionaland behavioural challenges in children and young people with autism.
Topics include:
- An intoduction to Positive Behaviour Support
- Exploring reasons for behaviours that challenge
- Sensory differences in autism
- Communication and understanding
- Social stories and scripting
- Strategies for managing difficult times
- Wellbeing for you and your family member
The programme is delivered through training sessions, 1:1 sessions and a range of e-learning resources and tools.
